
A Day Away Club Services consist of supervised day programming in a group setting. Day Away Club Service clients are typically seniors who require special assistance due to physical frailty and/or cognitive impairment, including different forms of dementia, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.
Our goal for the Day Away Club Services is to assist seniors to achieve and maintain their maximum level of functioning and to help prevent premature institutionalization. All activities included in the program are tailored to the physical and emotional needs of participating clients and include therapeutic and recreational activities, social time, exercise, a nutritious lunch and snacks.
Our Day Away Club Team is composed of specially trained and caring professionals, students and volunteers who are dedicated to assist individuals in achieving a purposeful experience.
Clients enjoy a nutritious lunch and snacks. Dietary concerns will be assessed prior to clients starting the program and will be accommodated.
Location: 80 Sheppard Avenue West (Yonge and Sheppard)
Schedule: Programming runs 9:30 am - 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Additional hours may be arranged as required to assist working caregivers.
