Growing to New Heights! Update

North York Seniors Centre is committed to providing quality client centered care to the community we serve. To support that goal, we have applied for an accreditation with CARF Canada.  In late 2012, early 2013 we will host a team of CARF surveyors who will assess our systems, processes and practices against a set of internationally recognized standards.  Preparation for a survey has been underway for several months including the completion of a Gap Analysis that identified and prioritized areas of focus for the organization. A Self Assessment process in partnership with two sister organizations is nearing completion and has provided a level of collaboration that has exceeded any expectation. What better way to learn and grow than with your peers!

What does accreditation mean to our clients and their families? This process will help NYSC build continuous quality improvement strategies into all of our programs and services that will meet the needs, preferences and goals of our clients and members. While this journey is challenging, our staff team is focused on delivering the best possible service to our community.

Join us on our journey as we grow to new heights. Your feedback is vital to our success. If you would like to learn more about accreditation or how you can get involved, please speak to a staff member, and watch for more information and regular updates on our progress.
