Workshop 1

Relaxing Respite for Caregivers

An informative 90-minute workshop to nourish your soul and learn simple and effective ways to care for yourself while dealing with the challenges of caregiving.  Learn a variety of techniques including mindfulness, visualization, and muscle relaxation.

About the speaker

Evelyn Ennor is a holistic health educator who has facilitated stress management workshops for thousands of employees since 2004.  Clients include Canada’s top businesses, government departments, and non-profit organizations. She is also certified in yoga teaching, laughter yoga and is a Reiki practitioner. Evelyn has been a caregiver and understands the importance and challenge of caring for ourselves and the power of training the mind.


Workshop 2

Lifting and Bending the Right Way

Dr. Hudes will provide an overview of how to safeguard your back and ways you can perform lifts and transfers safely. She will also share some stretching exercises you can do to avoid stress and tension from taking over your physical well-being.

About the speaker

Dr. Karen Hudes is a chiropractor in North York who has been practicing for more than 18 years. Her focus includes back pain, headaches, women during and after pregnancy, neck pain, shoulder and elbow pain, and injuries of all kinds including car accidents. She is also a certified rehabilitation specialist.
