National Volunteer Week 2020
| April 19, 2020From April 20th to April 24th, 2020, North York Seniors Centre celebrated National Volunteer Week. During those days, we said “thank you” in many ways: written messages, photos, quotes, and videos. It was all about showing NYSC’s appreciation to each volunteer who dedicates their time with care to support the seniors living in the community.
In the past year, NYSC volunteers have contributed over 25,700 hours, giving their time to help us, from answering client inquiries to visiting a client in the community, to serving customers a hot meal….the list just goes on and on!
We applaud you for all that you do!
National Volunteer Week is an opportunity to highlight the impact volunteers have across the country. Here at North York Seniors Centre, we are especially fortunate to have over 250 people share their time and talents with us as volunteers. We work together with volunteers to make those vital and meaningful connections for seniors to strengthen our community.
On behalf of North York Seniors Centre’s Board of Directors, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers. Thank you for making a difference. Without your support, we could not provide the programs and services we offer to our clients. You truly make NYSC a brighter place. Thank you, during National Volunteer Week and for every moment you work hand in hand with us. |
