The programming platform helps those without internet or computer access to stay connected to their friends, peers, and our teams during COVID-19. This audio connection with clients supports other services being delivered by NYSC during the COVID-19 crisis: grocery & medication shopping and delivery, personal support services, telephone reassurance, and the use of live-streaming platforms for virtual programming.
The programs offered are designed to serve seniors in the community who are isolated in any way due to the pandemic. It provides access to programs such as mindful meditation, book club, games, conversation, poetry readings, information workshops, trivia games, and support sessions, or any other programs considered appropriate to be delivered over the telephone conferencing platform.
